Sylvia Salcedo Rojas LA.c, MSOM
Hello I am the clinic director of the Denver Center for Acupuncture. I have been interested in health care since a young age when I would follow my father on this rounds at the hospital. I knew I wanted to become a doctor but as I aged I was drawn towards alternative medicine and decided this was the best path for me.
I received my masters of Science in Oriental medicine from the Southwest Acupuncture College in 2005. During school I had an amazing opportunity to study under my mentor and friend David Scrimgeour. He taught me Japanese Acupuncture, herbal medicine and how to excel with treatments using functional medicine specifically on women’s health, internal medicine and sports injuries. He encouraged me to study with this mentor, Dr Mike Shima. I finished a two-year post graduate study in Japanese Acupuncture, in San Francisco, with Dr. Shima. My passions and drive has lead me to spend many hours doing continuing education courses, including, fertility, functional medicine, sport medicine, sound healing and facial rejuvenation- always with the best practitioners I could find. Through my different forms of education I have been able to create a series of specialty acupuncture treatments that weave together various modalities.
I place a large emphasis life style recommendation and nutritional healing to give you the best health and wellness program you can find. I specialize in women’s health, fertility, pain, and digestive health, plus I love to work with stress and anxiety.
I have given many talk around the community, including : Whole Foods, Cherry Creek Athletic Club, Highlands Ranch Rotary Club and the University of Colorado. I have taught at the Traditional School of Chinese Medicine, Denver integrative school of massage and I currently and an Associate professor at Metro State College.
